Cat. #0003332: CHARLES AIDMAN

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Surprisingly uncommon 5x7-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fine-tip pen in the late 1970s or early 1980s.  In good condition, overall, with a few minor surface dings and scuffs which are invisible unless the photo is tilted toward a light source.  Busy "everyman" character actor Charles Aidman was memorable in films like Pork Chop Hill (1959), War Hunt (1962), Countdown (1967), Twilight's Last Gleaming (1977), and Uncommon Valor (1983), but is chiefly remembered for his guest spots on virtually every popular television series of the 1950s through 1980s, including classic episodes of "Have Gun-- Will Travel" (1958-1960), "Gunsmoke" (1958-1969), "The Twilight Zone" (1958, 1962), "Perry Mason" (1960), "Peter Gunn" (1960), "Wagon Train" (1960-1961), "Rawhide" (1960-1961), "Bonanza" (1961), "Dr. Kildare" (1962), "The Dick Van Dyke Show" (1962-1963), "The Virginian" (1962-1970), "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" (1966), "The Wild Wild West" (1968-1969), "Ironside" (1968-1970), "Hawaii Five-o" (1970), "All in the Family" (1974), "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" (1974), and "Lou Grant" (1979).  From 1985 through 1987, he took Rod Serling's place, as the narrator of the revived "Twilight Zone" series.
