Bold vintage fountain pen signature on a 3.25 x 5-inch portion of a pale green autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition and accompanied by a small book image. English-born actor, author, playwright, and filmmaker George Arliss was the first Brit to win an Academy Award, for 1929's Disraeli, and was nominated for a second Oscar the following year, for The Green Goddess. He was elsewhere memorable in Alexander Hamilton (1931), The Man Who Played God (1932), The Iron Duke (1934), The House of Rothschild (1934), Cardinal Richelieu (1935), and East Meets West (1936).
