Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Handsome vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fine-tip marker in the 1970s. In good condition, with a few minor surface creases. Iconic Cary Grant, suave, dashing English-born actor of the silver and Technicolor screens, was a bona fide star in every sense of the word, unforgettable in the Mae West vehicle She Done Him Wrong (1932); the Howard Hawks classics Bringing Up Baby (1938) and His Girl Friday (1940); The Philadelphia Story (1941); Alfred Hitchcock’s Suspicion (1941), Notorious (1946), To Catch a Thief (1955), and North by Northwest (1959); Frank Capra’s Arsenic and Old Lace (1941); the gender-bending I Was a Male War Bride (1949); An Affair to Remember (1957); House Boat (1958); and Charade (1963). He was nominated for two Academy Awards— one for the tearjerker Penny Serenade (1941) and the other for his favorite picture, None But the Lonely Heart (1944)— but lost out on both occasions. In 1970, the 66-year-old star was granted a special Oscar, citing his enormous critical and popular appeal, and his extraordinary contributions to cinema.
