Scarce vintage inscribed violet fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch light yellow album page, acquired in-person in the early 1940s, probably during her run in the stage production of "Arsenic and Old Lace" (1941-1943). In good condition. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the signed piece is not included. Plump, delightfully dizzy character actress Josephine Hull principally confined herself to the theater, but did grace a few classic films. She was unforgettable in Arsenic and Old Lace (1944), as one of Cary Grant's murderous aunts; Harvey (1950), for which she earned a Best Supporting Actress Oscar; and The Lady from Texas (1951).
