Cat. #0015910242: GUY KIBBEE

Rather uncommon vintage green fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch pale pink autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1940s. In good condition and ideal for matting with a favorite photograph. Bald, plump, ever-hotheaded character actor Guy Kibbee enlivened many a Warner Brothers musical, historical drama and gangster flick, typically cast as jovial, dimwitted authority figures. Highlights of his film career include Side Show (1931), The Dark Horse (1932), Rain (1932), 42nd Street (1933), Gold Diggers of 1933 (1933), Lady for a Day (1933), Babbitt (1934), Captain Blood (1935), Little Lord Fauntleroy (1936), Captain January (1936), Of Human Hearts (1938), Babes in Arms (1939), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), Our Town (1940), It Started with Eve (1941), Design for Scandal (1941), and The Horn Blows at Midnight (1945).
