Highly scarce vintage blue ballpoint pen signature on a 4x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1950s. In good condition and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Familiar-faced character actor Eddie Acuff, who gained fame in the role of hapless postman Mr. Beasley in the Blondie film series, starring Arthur Lake and Penny Singleton, played reporters, photographers, delivery men, sailors, shop clerks, and the occasional western comical sidekick in over 250 classic films. Highlights of his career include The Petrified Forest (1936), the Boris Karloff horror gem The Walking Dead (1936), The Case of the Velvet Claws (1936), Black Legion (1937), The Invisible Menace (1938), King of Alcatraz (1938), The Mysterious Miss X (1939), The Phantom Creeps (1939) with Bela Lugosi, Charlie Chan in Panama (1940), They Drive By Night (1940), Dr. Kildare Goes Home (1940), The Green Hornet Strikes Again!
