Stylish Lola Albright worked as a model and radio actress before heading to Hollywood in the mid-1940s. After small parts in Easter Parade (1948), The Pirates (1948) and Julia Misbehaves (1948), she landed a starring role in Kirk Douglas' Champion in 1949. Despite considerable promise, her talent and beauty were squandered on forgettable features and B-pictures throughout the 1950s, including the cult horror and sci-fi flick The Monolith Monsters (1957), and then on guest spots on television programs. Albright had a bit of a big screen comeback in the 1960s, with strong work in A Cold Wind in August (1961), Joy House (1964) and How I Spent My Summer Vacation (1967), but phased out of her acting career by the 1970s.
