Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Uncommon vintage black felt-tip pen signature on a 3x5-inch off-white card, attained in the 1960s and decorated with a small magazine image. In fine condition, with some spatters of soiling, and marked in the lower left-hand corner with a sticker from the third-party authenticator, J.S.A. Character actor Jim Backus began his career on radio's "Alan Young Show", portraying Eastern Seaboard snob Hubert Updike III, the prototype for Thurston Howell III on the 1960's sitcom "Gilligan's Island" (1964-1967). From 1949 onward, he lent his distinctive voice to the nearsighted cartoon character Mr. Magoo, and had character roles in classic films like Rebel Without a Cause (1955), the Lon Chaney biopic Man of a Thousand Faces (1957), the horror flick Macabre (1958), and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963).
