Nice vintage 5 x 6.75-inch sepia-tone Twentieth Century Pictures publicity portrait, boldly signed with his name alone in green fountain pen in the 1930s. In fine condition for its age, with slight trimming to the borders for framing purposes, mounting remnants on the verso and a few very mild handling dings to the upper right-hand and lower left-hand corners. Handsome silent and early talkie actor Warner Baxter, who was typically cast as charismatic skirt-chasing Latins in Western pictures, snagged the second-ever Best Actor Academy Award for his portrayal of the Cisco Kid in In Old Arizona (1928).
