Exceptionally rare vntage black fountain pen signature of the legendary Austrian-born creator, author and illustrator of the beloved children's book character Madeline at the close of a typed letter, dated September of 1951. On a lightweight sheet of folded 8.5 x 11-inch light grey stationery, in fine conditon for its age, with some wear to the right edge, not affecting the writing.
