Quite early black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch light yellow album page, acquired in-person around 1930-- evident from the dates on other autographs from the same album-- and decorated with a magazine image. In good condition. Outspoken, beautiful Constance Bennett, the first of the Bennett sisters to enter films, first established herself in silents, most notably Cytherea in 1924. After a brief hiatus from Hollywood during a marriage which ultimately failed, she reemerged during the early talkie era, typically cast as loose ladies, unwed mothers or sophisticated, witty types, most memorably in The Affairs of Cellini (1934), Ladies in Love (1936), Topper (1937), Topper Takes a Trip (1938), and Merrily We Live (1938). She died tragically of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 60.
