Attractive singer, songerwriter and actress Ronee Blakley is remembered for her portrayal of country superstar Barbara Jean in Robert Altman's Nashville (1975), for which she was nominated for an Academy Award. In 1984, she memorably played the mother of dream warrior Nancy in A Nightmare on Elm Street, who participated in Freddy Kreuger's vigilante death and preserved his clawed glove in a basement stove.
