Rare and excellent vintage 8x10-inch pearl-finish black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscrbied in turquoise fountain pen in the 1930s. In good condition for its age. Beautiful, gifted leading actress Alice Brady was nominated for an Oscar for My Man Godfrey (1936) and would later take home the trophy for In Old Chicago (1938). The following year, right in the middle of her meteoric rise, she succumbed to cancer, aged only 46 years. She had just completed filming for the 1939 classic Young Mr. Lincoln.
