Scarce vintage fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s or 1940s.  In good condition and ideal for matting.  The longtime vaudeville partner of Alan Carney, Wally Brown entered films as a character actor in 1939, equally adept at  comedy and drama.  Among horror fans, he is remembered as Durk, the inebriated henchman in Val Lewton's The Seventh Victim (1943) and as Jerry Miles, opposite Bela Lugosi and Anne Jeffreys, in Zombies on Broadway (1945).  He was elsewhere noteworthy in Notorious (1946), Come to the Stable (1949), The High and the Mighty (1954), Untamed Youth (1957), and The Absent-Minded Professor (1961), as well as on countless episodes of classic television programs.
