Vintage 10x8-inch black and white still from "Ironside" (1967-1975), boldly signed and inscribed in black felt-tip pen in the 1980s. In good condition, with some gentle edgewear. Best known for his television roles as the titular defense attorney on "Perry Mason" (1957-1966) and paraplegic detective on "Ironside" (1967-1975), large-and-in-charge character actor Raymond Burr was one of the Golden Age of Hollywood's great villain actors. With his enormous physical stature, cold stare and deep, commanding voice, he alternatively exuded immense authority or bone-chilling menace in a mixed bag of A- and B-list pictures, including A Place in the Sun (1951), sci-fi's The Whip Hand (1951), the horror flick Bride of the Gorilla (1951), Serpent of the Nile (1951), Tarzan and the She-Devil (1953), Fort Algiers (1953), Gorilla at Large (1954), Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window (1954), Khyber Patrol (1954), You're Never Too Young (1955), Please Murder Me (1956), Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956), A Cry in the Night (1956), Crime of Passion (1957), Godzilla (1977), The Curse of King Tut's Tomb (1980), and Godzilla 1985: The Legend Is Reborn (1985).
