Highly rare 8x10-inch sepia-tone portrait, circa 1936, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen.  In good condition, with a minute tear to the left border, and a gentle diagonal crease to the upper right-hand corner.  Radiant beauty queen, Goldwyn Girl and film actress Lynne Carver was memorable in films like Madame X (1937), The Bride Wore Red (1937), Young Dr. Kildare (1938), Everybody Sing (1938) with Judy Garland, A Christmas Carol (1938), The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1939), Calling Dr. Kildare (1939), Tennessee Johnson (1942), and The Human Comedy (1943) before her gradually declining health forced her to abandon acting.  She died of cancer at the age of 38 and her autograph is extremely uncommon in any format.
