Extremely uncommon vintage inscribed fountain pen signature on a 2.25 x 4.5-inch portion of a pale green album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s.  In good condition, with a few surface crinkles and the trimming at the bottom close to, but not actually touching the writing.  Note that the image of the actor accompanying the scan of the autograph here is not actually included with the signed item.  Before his suicide by overdose and carbon monoxide poisoning at the age of 67, unforgettable character actor Spencer Charters played befuddled judges, doctors, clerks, managers, jailers, and other authoritative or servile types in classic films like Whoopee! (1930), horror's The Bat Whispers (1930) and The Raven (1935), 20,000 Years in Sing Sing  (1932), Gabriel Over the White House (1933), The Kennel Murder Case (1933), Till We Meet Again (1936), Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936), Libeled Lady (1936), The Prisoner of Zenda (1937), Topper Takes a Trip (1938), Young Mr. Lincoln (1939), Our Town (1940), Santa Fe Trail (1940), Kitty Foyle (1940), and High Sierra (1940).  Just the third example of his autograph we have ever encountered!
