Highly scarce vintage 3-page 8.5 x 11-inch 1952 Theatre Guild contract, agreeing to adapt the stage play "Tommy" for radio, boldly signed in black fountain pen. In good condition, with some minor edge chipping, and accompanied by a certificate from third-party authenticator Beckett Authentication. Before his untimely death from cancer at the age of 58, brilliant screenwriter Paddy Chayefsky won three Oscars for Marty (1955), The Hospital (1971) and Network (1976), and was also nominated for The Goddess (1958). Chayefsky is also remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for Altered States (1980), a screenplay he based upon his original novel of the same year.
