RARE vintage 5x7-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the 1940s. In good condition, with minor edgewear. French filmmaker and writer René Clair first established his reputation in the silent era, masterfully mingling fantasy and comedy, a coupling he would again employ in 1942's I Married a Witch. His excellent body of work also includes Un Chapeau de Paille d'Italie (1928), Sour les Toites de Paris (1928)Le Million (1931), A Nous la Liberte (1931), and And Then There Were None (1945).
