Prolific character actor Frank Darrien had roles in over 225 silent and early talkie films, including Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933), Baby Face (1933), Mad Love (1935), Charlie Chan in Shanghai (1935), The Walking Dead (1936), Captain January (1936), The Life of Emile Zola (1937), The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1938), Jezebel (1938), The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1939), Dark Victory (1939), The Grapes of Wrath (1940), The Way of All Flesh (1940), Hellzapoppin' (1941), and Tales of Manhattan (1942).
