Cat. #0013451121: FLORENCE FAIR

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Scarce and lovely vintage 5x7-inch sepia-tone portrait, boldly signed in black fountain pen in 1936. In good condition, with a small crease to the area to the left of her head.  Pretty Florence Fair was the niece of Douglas Fairbanks, abbreviating her surname to distinguish herself from her far more famous relative. She enjoyed some popularity in silent dramas, memorable in The Good Sport (1924), Sally of the Sawdust (1925) and Warner Oland's What Happened to Father? (1927) before transitioning into character roles during the talkie era.
