Extremely rare 8x10-inch black and white portrait, circa 1916, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen. In good condition, with a minor tear to the right edge. Lovely stage and silent film actress Luray Huntley was a member of D.W. Griffith's stock company, memorable in Traffic in Souls (1913), Let Katie Do It (1916) and Intolerance: Love's Struggle Throughout the Ages (1916), always alongside her husband, villain actor Walter Long. Huntley died tragically of the Spanish inluenza at the age of 28. Her autograph is virtually impossible to find in any format.
