Cat. #001582183: JENNIFER JONES

TOUGH to attain vintage blue ballpoint pen signature on a roughly 3.5 x 5.25-inch tan sheet, acquired in-person in the early 1950s and affixed to a 4x6-inch off-white album page, decorated with an image of the star. In good condition for its age, with a few minor water stains, not affecting the writing itself. Enigmatic Jennifer Jones earned an Oscar for The Song of Bernadette (1943) in 1944, and was subsequently nominated for Since You Went Away (1944), Love Letters (1945), Duel in the Sun (1946), and Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing (1955). Incapable of a poor performance, she was also unforgettable in Cluny Brown (1946), Portrait of Jennie (1948), Madame Bovary (1949), Beat the Devil (1953), and The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit (1956).
