Great silver screen tough guy Paul Kelly was infamously sent up the river for pummeling a man to death over an actress named Dorothy Mackaye. His off-screen misfortunates didn't end there: Mackaye would ultimately perish in a car crack; Kelly died of a heart attack, aged just 57 years.
