Cat. #0015914202: KLAUS KINSKI

Extremely uncommon vintage full-name signature-- He usually only signed "Kinski" and is rare even in that format!-- on a 3x5-inch pink card, acquired in-person in 1979, the year in which he starred as the titular bloodsucker in Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979). In good condition and ideal for matting, accompanied by a 10x8-inch black and white restrike still from that horror classic. Temperamental German-born cult favorite Klaus Kinski is best remembered for his association with Werner Herzog, for whom he starred in Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1972), Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979), Woyzeck (1979), Fitzcarraldo (1982), and Cobra Verde (1987). He was also noteworthy in a number of spaghetti westerns, including For a Few Dollars More (1965), A Bullet for the General (1966), The Great Silence (1968), And God Said to Cain (1970), Shoot the Living and Pray for the Dead (1971), and A Genius, Two Partners and a Dupe (1975). He died of a heart attack at the age of 65.
