Quite scarce vintage 9.75 x 9.5-inch black and white publicity portrait for The Black Windmill (1974), boldly signed in black ink in the 1970s. In good condition. The white fleck inside the loop of the P in his surname is not an imperfection, but part of the photo itself. Great English character actor Donald Pleasence is best remembered for his portrayals of flight lieutenant Colin Blythe in The Great Escape (1963), kinky George in Roman Polanski's Cul-de-Sac (1964), villainous Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the James Bond classic You Only Live Twice (1967), Melchior in Jesus of Nazareth (1977), B.D. Hoffler in the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978), and Dr. Sam Loomis in the Halloween horror film series.
