Cat. #0021810122: GILDA RADNER

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Highly rare vintage 7.5 x 10-inch glossy black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue felt-tip pen in the early 1980s. In very fine condition. During her brilliant run on T.V.'s Saturday Night Live (1975-1980), comic actress Gilda Radner created unforgettable characters like the hard-of-hearing media critic Emily Litella ("Never mind"), nerdish Lisa Lupner ("That was so funny I almost fergot to LAFFFFF!"), frizzy-haired T.V. journalist Roseanne Roseanna-Dana ("Just goes to show ya, it's always somethin'!), and, of course, the inimitable Baba WaWa. Her efforts earned her an Emmy in 1978. She went on to star in the one-woman show Radner Live (1979), and a string of comedies with husband Gene Wilder, including Hanky Panky (1982), The Woman in Red (1984) and the horror-themed Haunted Honeymoon (1986). Her death of ovarian cancer at the age of 42 was a tremendous loss. Radner's autograph is highly scarce in any format.
