Quite scarce vintage black fountain pen signature on a 5x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in March of 1926. In good condition and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Portly comic character actor Bert Roach entered films as one of Mack Sennett's Keystone Cops in 1913. He went on to appear in scores of classic talkies, racking up over 350 credits, in all, including Liliom (1930), Arrowsmith (1931), Murders in the Rue Morgue (1932), Little Man, What Now? (1934), The Thin Man (1934), Shadow of Doubt (1935), Fury (1936), The Mandarin Mystery (1936), Think Fast, Mr. Moto (1937), The Girl Said No (1937), A Slight Case of Murder (1938), Rose of Washington Square (1939), The Man in the Iron Mask (1939), Nurse Edith Cavell (1939), Another Thin Man (1939), The Great Victor Herbert (1939), The Mortal Storm (1940), Hellzapoppin’ (1941), Grand Central Murder (1942), I Married an Angel (1942), Dr. Renault’s Secret (1942), Shine on Harvest Moon (1944), Lady on a Train (1945), Little Giant (1946), The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946), Duel in the Sun (1946), The Perils of Pauline (1947), Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome (1947), The Great Caruso (1951), and Show Boat (1951).
