Cat. #0031126214: BARTLETT ROBINSON

Extremely uncommon-- just the second autographed portrait of the star we have ever seen-- vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint pen in the early 1960s. In good condition for its age, with a few minor surface creases. Ubiquitous movie and television character actor Bartlett Robinson's credits would be too numerous to list. Of particular note, he played Benjamin Frank Mahoney, the president of Ryan Airlines, supporting James Stewart's Charles Lindbergh in the 1957 drama The Spirit of St. Louis, and then had another supporting role in the Susan Hayward crime drama I Want to Live! the following year. On T.V., Robinson had a recurring role on "Perry Mason" (1959-1966), while, in 1965, he took on a lead supporting role, as Frank Caldwell on the Juliet Prowse comedy "Mona McCluskey," appearing on every episode. He is also known for his portrayal of Dr. Orva in Woody Allen's 1973 Rip Van Winkle-esque sci-fi comedy Sleeper.
