Cat. #0031161: FLORA ROBSON

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Charming 8x10-inch black and white portrait in her prime, boldly signed in black felt-tip pen in the early 1980s. In good condition. Uncommon in 8x10 format. Dame Flora Robson was one of the stage and screen's great venom-spewing divas and conniving villainesses. She was deliciously odious and treacherous in classic films like The Rise of Catherine the Great (1934), I, Claudius (1937), Fire Over England (1937), Wuthering Heights (1939), The Sea Hawk (1940), Caesar and Cleopatra (1945), Black Narcissus (1947), Frieda (1947), and Romeo and Juliet (1954). Later in life, she popped up in a string of horror, sci-fi and fantasy flicks, including Eye of the Devil (1966), The Shuttered Room (1967), The Beast in the Cellar (1970), Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (1972), The Canterville Ghost (1975), Dominique (1979), and Clash of the Titans (1981).
