Highly rare vintage signature in black ink on a 2 x 3.5-inch white card, dating to the late 1960s. In good condition and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. The Pulitzer and Nobel Prize-winning author is remembered for masterpieces like Of Mice and Men (1937), The Grapes of Wrath (1940) and East of Eden (1952).  Many of Steinbeck's works were later adapted for Hollywood films, including the short story "Lifeboat" (1944), which was the basis for Alfred Hitchcock's classic and earned the writer an Oscar nod.
