Phenomenal vintage 8x10-inch blue-tinted publicity portrait as the Monster in Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948), boldly signed and inscribed for a friend in black fountain pen in the late 1940s or early 1950s. In good condition. The top B-movie villain and western star had previously played Frankenstein’s monster in House of Frankenstein (1944) and House of Dracula (1945).  He also had supporting roles in a string of other horror favorites, including The Mad Monster (1942), The Mummy’s Tomb (1942) and The Monster Maker (1944).
