Cat. #004041: GLENN STRANGE

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Extremely scarce and absolutely magnificent 8x10-inch black and white restrike publicity portrait as Frankenstein's Monster in House of Frankenstein (1944), one of a stack of photographs boldly signed and inscribed in black felt-tip marker for horror guru Blackie Seymour of the Pentagram Library, with whom the star regularly played poker, in the 1970s, not long before his death. In good condition. Signed images of the horror icon-- especially from this film-- are in high demand, with one selling several years ago for over $4,000.00 at auction. Top B-movie villain and western star Glenn Strange is beloved of horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for his portrayals of Frankenstein’s monster in House of Frankenstein (1944), House of Dracula (1945) and Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948).  He also had supporting roles in The Mad Monster (1942), The Mummy’s Tomb (1942) and The Monster Maker (1944).
