From a massive horde of signatures, all acquired in-person over three decades by an indefatigable autograph hound, comes this ultra-rare vintage blue fine-point pen signature on a 3x5-inch white card, acquired in the late 1970s. In very fine condition and superb for matting with a favorite photograph. From the strongest possible provenance and absolutely authentic. Note that the image of the actress accompanying the scan of the signed photo here is not actually included with the item.  Breathtakingly beautiful blonde Dorothy Stratten was Playboy Magazine's Playmate of the Month for August, 1979 and had the title role in the cult science-fiction flick Galaxina (1980).  Stratten's abusive boyfriend, Peter Snider, had long held a Svengali-like grip over her and, when she seemed to be getting a tad too close to director Peter Bogdanovich Snider grew exceedingly jealous. He lured Stratten into an apartment they had previously shared, tied her up, sexually assaulted her, and shot her in the head with a rifle, which he then turned on himself. She was 20 years old. This is just the fourth item signed by Stratten we have encountered in over 35 years.
