Cat. #0041013: MARGARET SULLAVAN

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Rare vintage blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch light green autograph album page, acquired in-person November of 1938. In good condition, with faint toning to the right side and a fountain pen signature of John Howard on the verso. Sad-eyed Margaret Sullavan was Oscar-nominated for Three Comrades (1938), and elsewhere memorable in Little Man, What Now? (1934), So Red the Rose (1935), The Moon's Our Home (1936), The Shopworn Angel (1938), The Shining Hour (1938), The Shop Around the Corner (1940), The Mortal Storm (1940), So Ends Our Night (1941), Cry 'Havoc' (1943), and No Sad Songs for Me (1950). She committed suicide by overdose at the age of 50 and her autograph is quite elusive in any format.
