Extremely uncommon vintage black felt-tip pen signature on a 4x6-inch pale pink autograph album page, acquired in-person by inveterate collector Edward Gelman in the year of her death, 1979. In good condition, with a minor crease, well below the writing, which is ideal for matting with a favorite photograph. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Great character actress Hope Summers played spunky, mischievous old lady types on a variety of hit television shows and in numerous classic movies of the 1950s through 1970s. Her long list of memorable credits included I Want to Live! (1958), Inherit the Wind (1960), Angel Baby (1961), Homicidal (1961), The Children's Hour (1961), "Gunsmoke" (1958-1963), "Make Room for Daddy" (1962-1964), The Ghost and Mr. Chicken (1966), "The Beverly Hillbillies" (1966), "The Andy Griffith Show" (1961-1968), Rosemary's Baby (1968), The Shakiest Gun in the West (1968), "Mayberry, R.F.D." (1968-1970), "Bewitched" (1970), "Little House on the Prairie" (1976), and Foul Play (1978).
