Cat. #004111113: GRADY SUTTON

Uncommon vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch light grey autograph album page, acquired in-person in 1932. In good condition. Bucolic, funny-faced character actor Grady Sutton played dimwitted Southerners and country bumpkins, hilarious alongside Laurel and Hardy and in three classic W.C. Fields films, Man on the Flying Trapeze (1935), You Can't Cheat an Honest Man (1939) and The Bank Dick (1940). His long list of memorable movie credits include Alice Adams (1935), May Man Godfrey (1936), Anchors Aweigh (1945), horror's Dragonwyck (1945), A Star Is Born (1954), and White Christmas (1954). He was also busy on television, appearing on "Batman" (1967), "The Odd Couple" (1974) and other programs, in various small roles.
