Cat. #00411163: ELIZABETH TAYLOR

Highly rare-- in the sense that it's not one of the countless secretarially-signed or crudely faked examples one so commonly encounters-- and quite early signature in black fountain pen on a 4x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person when she was around 17 years of age and decorated with a small magazine image of the star. In good condition, with gentle toning. After being nominated for three Academy Awards, for Raintree Country (1957), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958) and Suddenly, Last Summer (1959), beautiful, iconic Elizabeth Taylor snagged two Oscars for BUtterfield 8 (1960) and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966). Elsewhere, she blossomed from an adorable tot into an electrifying leading lady in Hollywood classics like Lassie Comes Home (1942), Jane Eyre (1943), National Velvet (1944), Life with Father (1947), Little Women (1949), Father of the Bride (1950), Father's Little Dividend (1951), A Place in the Sun (1951), Ivanhoe (1952), Giant (1956), Cleopatra (1963), The Sandpiper (1965), and The Taming of the Shrew (1967).
