Cat. #0052062: CAROL THURSTON

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Very rare vintage vintage blue ballpoint pen signature on a 3.5 x 5.5-inch portion of a tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1950s and decorated with a small magazine image, later affixed to a 4x6-inch white card. In good condition, with gentle show-through from an autograph on the opposite side of the leaf. Beautiful Carol Thurston, who was typically cast as exotic-looking heroines in cowboy flicks, was memorable in The Story of Dr. Wassell (1943), The Last Round-Up (1947), Apache Chief (1949), I, the Jury (1951), sci-fi's The Killer Ape (1943), and Yukon Vengeance (1954), as well as on classic episodes of a number of T.V. western programs.  She died in a coma, following a suicide attempt by never-clarified means, at the age of 47, and her autograph is quite elusive in any format.
