Charming and uncommonly early 7.75 x 10-inch black and white swimsuit cheesecake portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in the late 1950s in ballpoint pen.  In good condition for its age, with the left and right borders trimmed a quarter of an inch for framing purposes; a light diagonal crease to the lower right-hand corner, invisible when the photo is viewed head-on; and a few scattered handling dings.  Alluring Audrey Totter played brittle, no-nonsense femme fatale roles in classic B-noirs like The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946), Lady in the Lake (1946), The Unsuspected (1947), The Set-Up (1949), Under the Gun (1951), Man in the Dark (1953), and A Bullet for Joey (1955).
