Extremely rare vintage black felt-tip pen signature on a roughly 3.5 x 4.5-inch portion of a trimmed tan card, acquired in-person in the 1980s by inveterate autograph hound John Virzi. In good condition. Character actor John Vernon was so icy and unflinching that, when he wasn't perfectly playing no-nonsense men of authority in films like 1984 (1956), Dirty Harry (1971) and The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), he proved impossibly funny in comedies like Animal House (1978), in which he was unforgettable as Dean Vernon Wormer; Herbie Goes Bananas (1980); Airplane II: The Sequel (1982); Chained Heat (1983); Ernest Goes to Camp (1987); Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988); Office Party (1988); and I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988).
