Highly rare vintage 3.25 x 5.5-inch black and white Ross Verlag postcard portrait, boldly signed in black fountain pen in the 1920s and paired with an 8x10-inch black and white printed Golem image. In good condition. German expressionist film pioneer Paul Wegener is revered by horror and sci-fi fans as the star of The Golem (1920), which also co-wrote and co-directed. He made several other key contributions to those genres with A Bargain with Satan (1913), The Golem and the Dancing Girl (1917), Nachtgestalten (1920), A Daughter of Destiny (1928), and The Living Dead (1932).
