Impossible to find vintage 10.75 x 13.75-inch matte-finish black and white portrait of the goofy comedy duo, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen in their individual hands. This is one of the only jointly-autographed photographs of the two we have ever encountered, with examples appearing on the market about once a decade, and certainly the only one of this size and quality. In fine condition for its age, with partially trimmed borders. (Note that the borders are not shown in the accompanying scan.) Zany comedy team Wheeler and Woolsey delighted vaudeville and movie audiences until the tragic death of Woolsey of kidney disease at the age of 50.
