Scarce vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person by the son of the owner of New Jersey's Trenton Theater following a performance in February of 1938. In good condition, with a minor nick to the lower left-hand side, well away from the writing. Legendary black jazz pianist Teddy Wilson, called "the definitive swing pianist" by one critic, is remembered for his gentle, elegant, virtuosic style, influenced by Earl Hines and Art Tatum. He can be heard on famous recordings by fellow luminaries like Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Benny Goodman, and Ella Fitzgerald. He was later a bandleader.
