Cat. #00591112: TERESA WRIGHT

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Tough to acquire vintage inscribed violet fountain pen signature on a 3x5-inch off-white card, acquired in-person by inveterate autograph hound Joe Forrest in 1962 and decorated with a small Players Directory image. In good condition, with some toning to the affixed clipping, and suitable for matting with a favorite photograph. One of Hollywood's least obliging signers, lovely Teresa Wright earned a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination for her very first film, The Little Foxes in 1941. The following year, she was nominated in both the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories for her third and fourth films, The Pride of the Yankees and Mrs. Miniver, winning for the latter.  She remained busy onscreen through 1959, memorable in Alfred Hitchcock's terrifying Shadow of a Doubt (1943), The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) and The Imperfect Lady (1947).
