Cat. #005911112: TERESA WRIGHT

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Tough to acquire vintage 8x10-inch glossy black and white portrait in her prime, boldly signed in black felt-tip pen for an in-person collector in January of 1991, as he recorded on the verso. In good condition. One of Hollywood's least obliging signers, lovely Teresa Wright earned a Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nomination for her very first film, The Little Foxes in 1941. The following year, she was nominated in both the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories for her third and fourth films, The Pride of the Yankees and Mrs. Miniver, winning for the latter.  She remained busy onscreen through 1959, memorable in Alfred Hitchcock's terrifying Shadow of a Doubt (1943), The Best Years of Our Lives (1946) and The Imperfect Lady (1947).
