Scarce vintage 3.25 x 5.5-inch black and white postcard portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in 1935, with the year recorded in the hand of the original collector in the upper left-hand corner. In good condition for its age. Elegant, aristocratic British leading lady Diana Wynyard was an established stage star at the time of her Hollywood debut in the Barrymores' Rasputin and the Empress in 1932. She went on to an Oscar-nominated turn in Cavalcade (1932), a film which locked her into Greer Garson-type roles for the rest of her career, and was marvelous in the 1940 version of Gaslight and Island in the Sun (1957).
