Exceptionally uncommon vintage heavy pencil signature on a 4x5-inch pale grey autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition. Note that the image of the star shown alongside the scan of the autograph here is not included. Pint-sized comic actor Tammany Young is remembered as the ubiquitous stooge of W.C. Fields, with whom he was so hilariously paired in Sally of the Sawdust (1925), You're Telling Me (1934), Six of a Kind (1934), It's a Gift (1934), The Old Fashioned Way (1934), The Man on the Flying Trapeze (1935), and Poppy (1935). When Young died suddenly in his sleep at the age of 49, Fields fell into a profound depression, not eating or sleeping for a dangerous stretch of time.
