Uncommon vintage 5x7-inch sepia-tone bust portrait, dating to the 1940s, boldly signed in fountain pen.  In very fine condition.  The tough-looking supporting actor of the World War II era was memorable in Destination Tokyo (1943), The Fighting Sullivans (1944), Objective Burma! (1945), Night and Day (1946), the Peter Lorre horror gem The Beast with Five Fingers (1946), The Fountainhead (1949), Irma La Douce (1963), and the true crime favorite The Legend of Lizzie Borden (1975).
