Exceptionally rare vintage blue fountain pen signature on a 4x5-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1920s. In good condition, with a few minute flecks of ink around the writing, and very nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Veteran English stage and screen character actor Lionel Belmore is remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for his portrayal of the blustery Burgomaster in James Whale's masterpiece Frankenstein (1931), and was elsewhere opposite Lon Chaney Sr. in The Blackbird (1927), and in Lionel Barrymore’s The Unholy Night (1929), The Vampire Bat (1933), Son of Frankenstein (1939), Tower of London (1939), and The Ghost of Frankenstein (1942).
